If the remote flash is further to the right or left it may not receive any optical signal, even if it is only a few feet from the camera! Radios transmit in all directions from the camera. Most of the optical controllers only cover an area about as wide as a 24mm lens on a FF camera. Most optical systems, especially when using a weak built-in popup flash as the controller, are much more range limited than radio systems. There are disadvantages with using optical wireless communications instead of radio communications, though: Some Nikon cameras have popup flashes that are Commanders, others have popup flashes that are not Commanders. You also could use a Nikon body with a built-in flash that is capable of being a "Flash Commander". Some of those are: Nikon Commander SU-800, Nikon SB-910, SB-900, SB-800, SB-700, and any third party clones. You need any Nikon iTTL capable "master" flash or controller attached to the camera's hot shoe. If you want to use optical wireless (you probably do not) You can buy YN622N-TX + YN622N II sets, or sets of two YN622N II transceivers for around $80. The YN622N-TX transmitter and YN622N/YN6222N II transceivers are about $40 each. The YN622N or YN622N II can be used, but the controls are a bit less intuitive and you'll have to count how many times you click certain buttons. The advantage of the YN622N-TX transmitter is the LCD display and additional control buttons that make it much easier to see how you have your flash(es) set and to change the settings of your flash(es). A YN622N / YN622N II can be used as the receiver attached to the flash's hot foot. A YN622N-TX transmitter or YN622N / YN622N II transceiver (combined transmitter & receiver) can be used on the Nikon camera's hot shoe. To fully control the flash you need a YN622N radio set. If you want to use radio wireless (you probably do) It will have the YN568EX III name displayed in gold lettering. First off, please be sure to get the Nikon version of the YN568EX III.

She said when she arrived at Deja Vu of North Hollywood, management presented her with a contract to acknowledge her status as a freelancer. As of last Wednesday, a day after she filed the lawsuit, she’s out of work. For the longest time, I haven’t felt I’ve been getting the respect I deserve.”Ĭadena’s activities come with a price. She’s now on a crusade to institute better working conditions at strip joints, Cadena said. Dancers elsewhere who are union-covered employees say they make $15 to $28 an hour. “Nowadays, even with a bachelor’s degree, it’s hard to make the kind of money we make,” Cadena said. Her dancing career is temporary, she said, but stripping generates more income than she’d earn in a low-skilled job. Plaintiff Cadena, 29, a San Fernando Valley resident, said she’s been stripping at Deja Vu of North Hollywood, and other clubs, for five years to put herself through college. “These women are being cheated out of their rights,” Mandlekar said. The dancers are also asking for unspecified punitive damages. In addition to being reclassified as employees, the exotic dancers are asking that they be reimbursed for the amounts they believe they should have been paid in the past three to four years, plus interest. “These lawsuits are usually a scam for ex-dancers to get free money,” Shafer said. Shafer said other dancers have made similar claims throughout the years, but they have been without merit. The contract features a clear disclaimer stating that they’re not employees, according to Shafer. “All these entertainers sign a very elaborate lease that specifically spells out the tenancy arrangement,” Shafer said. But he said the company will vigorously resist it. “‘What this case is about is an employer trying to call a cow a pig and it’s really a cow, no matter how many times you call it a pig,” Mandlekar said.ĭeja Vu’s attorney, Shafer, said he had not yet seen a copy of the lawsuit. The lawsuit alleges a violation of a section of the California Labor Code that gives employees the right to sue for back wages and overtime, and a section of the California Business and Professional Code that allows employees to sue for illegal, unfair or fraudulent business practices. Unlike true independent contractors, who have the freedom to set their own work schedule, the dancers are told when and where to work by club management, according to Ron Dean, another Cadena lawyer. The crux of the dancers’ lawsuit is that, although the clubs classify the dancers as freelancers, they are, in essence, employees, chiefly because of the amount of control management exerts over them. “I don’t know how an exotic dancer who takes her clothes off would consider a dressing room a private room,” Shafer said. “Did you ever see a dressing room for runway models, for example? There are people in the back rooms. The attitude seems to be, ‘They take off their clothes, to hell with them.’ ”īrad Shafer, Deja Vu’s Michigan-based attorney, defended the clubs. "We always have various PR and lobbying needs that affect the adult entertainment industry at large."Įric Lacy is a reporter for the Lansing State Journal.Said Cadena’s attorney, Ray Mandlekar: “The women don’t seem to get respect for their privacy. Daniels as our official spokesperson will take our public relations efforts to new heights," said Kristi Flores, a company representative, in statement to and other outlets. The website and several TV outlets reported last month online that Daniels represents Deja Vu Services and will help be an advocate for the company's dancers. Sime said Daniels has never performed in Lansing. "And let's face it, she's in the news almost every day." "Just the entertainment value alone is worth the money. "She's been a dancer and in the porn industry a long time," Sime said. Tickets for the Lansing shows are $30 in advance and $40 at the door. She will perform two shows at Deja Vu's Lansing location around 11:30 p.m. I think the solution is to get #42301: Instrument Changes: add ability to change back to a previous instrument fixed, and then you can control everything yourself. Although I hope that would be covered elsewhere, again. None of those need a seperate mixer, except bass clarinet, as it is very much louder than a regular clarinet.Īnd while I'm at it, piccolo is not written with a special treble clef, the instrument is transposing. Flute/alto flute switches would be covered, too. That transposition thing would also be useful with horns/trumpets, especially if one is transcribing an older score, as they have a lot of different versions as well. Clarinet also might need a generally bigger work around, as I've played pieces where I literally had 4 different clarinets I needed to switch between, and the general midi doesn't have a bass clarinet sf, even if I do. One thing that maybe shouldn't be here is the clarinet, as most don't have a bass clarinet sf to manage. And they're all differently balanced with the other orchestral instruments. Pizzicato are universally too loud, tutti strings are too soft, solo strings are too loud. That's adding more mixer controls, but controlling the number that are spawned - If I switch to piccolo twice in a score, I spawn two extra picc instruments and two flute.Įliminating seperate mixers for all these things would be a really bad idea for playback. I also wanted to have two options for flute(flute/picc), oboe(oboe/english horn), clarinet(clarinet/Bass Clarinet) I wanted to modify it so that instead of three, there are four options per string instrument - solo, section, pizzicato and tremolo. String instruments are set up to switch between normal strings, pizzicato, and tremolo. A number of other locations are at 3″ and counting as the snow continues to fall. I know several career CBRN soldiers who have not been to Korea, but most have. Many CBRN soldiers think that a mission of the Chemical Branch, at US Army Human Resource Command, is to try to get all CBRN soldier to Korea, for at least one tour. Japanese intelligence believes that North Korea has developed missiles capable of delivering nerve gas. Twenty-five million people live in the vicinity of Seoul, South Korea, within range of that artillery. Much of which can be delivered with artillery, which is hidden in tunnels and caves very close to the DMZ. Just stick it against your leg and it injects atropine.Īccording to South Korean intelligence, North Korea has been building chemical weapons since 1980, and is estimated to have between 2,500 and 5,000 tons of different chemical and biological weapons, including anthrax, smallpox, and the plague. All soldiers, in line units, are issued a spring-loaded atropine syringe along with their protective mask. Symptoms of nerve gas are convulsions, foaming mouths, blurry vision, difficulty breathing, – death. It is colorless and odorless, and even at low concentrations death can occur within one to ten minutes if the antidote “Atropine” is not injected. In April 2017 another gas attack was used in Syria. There is no antidote, just stop breathing and get away from the cloud, but the damage is permanent. When released, as a gas, it produces a green cloud, and when breathed it breaks down the mucus membranes in the airways creating fluid. Using it as a weapon is internationally illegal. It is used in paints, textiles, insecticides and PVC to name a few products, making it is very easy to obtain. It is used to treat drinking water and swimming pool water. Chlorine is not illegal it is a disinfectant. Since 2011 Chlorine Gas has been used in Syria an estimated 100 times. There about 20 countries that have or are suspected to have chemical weapons, and eight to ten that are strongly suspected to have biological weapons (anthrax, plague, etc). There are nine countries known to have nuclear weapons, including China, Russia, and North Korea, also India and Pakistan who share a border and a dislike for each other. Recently WMD Response teams have popped up in the Guard and Reserve side that have chemical soldiers along with radiation specialists and EOD. They lay smoke in support of maneuver units. They provide battle field obscurants, most commonly smoke. They provide the expertise and equipment for a deliberate decon of a unit (pax and vehicles). They conduct chemical reconnaissance with the M93 Fox and similar systems. Chemical Companies are usually the big three: recon, decon, smoke. The vast majority are in other than CBRN units. They maintain all the CBRN equipment in a unit and provide training to the unit on CBRN tasks and equipment like detection of agents, personal decon, protection, unmasking procedures and deliberate decon. USR (Unit Status Report) is a monthly requirement in which they crunch many of the numbers. They usually have more senior CBRN NCOs/Officers at BN, BDE, and DIV (battalion, brigade, and division). This is an update of an article I posted a couple of years ago, titled “Chemical”, so you don’t have to read both.Ī Chemical Corps Lieutenant Colonel recently described the job like this “Most 74Ds are the CBRN Specialist for a company, any company. AIT (Advanced Individual Training) is 11 weeks, at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. That is CBRN Specialist (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear), MOS (Military Occupational Specialty)74D. That job has a fairly high number of soldiers, and a very high requirement for Sergeants. If you are considering the Army, but you are not a “kid” anymore, and you don’t want to forever become an equal with the “youngsters”, there is one support job where you can rapidly rise through the ranks. Other than the infantry, there is one job, where that has been happening for the past couple years. Make Sergeant in two years, Staff Sergeant in just over four. |
